About the Author
Mark Vinz was born in Rugby, North Dakota, and was on the faculty of Minnesota State University Moorhead for forty years. Vinz was the longtime editor of Dacotah Territory, a small press that published 17 issues and 15 chapbooks from 1971 to 1981. He also edited Dakota Arts Quarterly from
1977 to 1984. He is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in poetry. Other honors include three Minnesota book awards, and a poet laureate title in North Dakota.
He is now retired.
